The NIH recognizes the need for well-trained clinical researchers to bridge the gap between the basic researcher’s bench and the patient’s bedside. The Clinical Research Curriculum Award (K30) provides support for the development of the didactic training needed to provide in-depth instruction in the skills, methodology, theories, and conceptual framework needed by independent, clinical investigators. The K30 program is administered by the NHLBI with the oversight of a trans-NIH committee of program staff from all the contributing Institutes. Here you will find more information and links to training programs across the United States.
Also see the ACGME list of accredited programs. The site contains a wealth of information including names, addresses, and other contact information.
