Specialty Society Advisory Council

The Specialty Society Advisory Council (SSAC) is an advisory body for specialty issues to the Boards of Directors of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery Foundation and functions as a conduit for improved communication and identification of shared opportunities.

Council Charge

The Specialty Society Advisory Council (SSAC) shall be an advisory body for specialty society issues to the Boards of Directors of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Foundation and serve as a conduit for improved communication and identification of shared opportunities. SSAC will also be responsible for the review, validation and approval of requests to survey the AAO-HNS membership on topics related to specialty societies, as assigned.
