Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery CALL FOR PAPERS

Science in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Cecelia E. Schmalbach, MD, MSc, Editor in Chief of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and OTO Open, is seeking papers relevant to artificial intelligence (AI) for a special, themed issue to be published in spring 2024.

“Artificial Intelligence and machine learning has taken the world by storm. Given the ability to accelerate otolaryngology-head and neck surgery science, a special-focused issue on the implications and impact of AI on science and medicine aims to highlight scientific applications and associated challenges in applying AI to our field,” said Dr. Schmalbach.

  • Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Projects Implementing AI
  • Ethics Surrounding AI
  • Innovative Applications of AI in Education and Training

How to Submit a Manuscript:

Submit papers for the themed issue at www.editorialmanager.com/otohns. Choose “Yes” when asked if you are submitting to the “Artificial Intelligence Themed Issue” during the submission process. All article types are appropriate for submission.

Deadline for submission to be considered for this special issue is November 30, 2023.

Accepted papers may be published in the themed issue or a standard issue at Dr. Schmalbach’s discretion.
