AAO-HNS/F Coordinator, Annual Meeting Program Committee – Call for Applicants

The AAO-HNS/F Board of Directors is seeking applicants for the Coordinator, Annual Meeting Program Committee (AMPC) for the 2024-2028 term

The role of the Coordinator, AMPC is to lead the development and oversight of the AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO EXPOSM education program including Panel Presentations, Scientific Oral Presentations, Expert Lectures, International Symposium, Simulation, and Poster Presentations. This is a core education activity of the Foundation and of financial significance to the AAO-HNS/F.

The Coordinator for AMPC will work closely with the Coordinator for Education to achieve seamless integration of the education activities of the Foundation. The Coordinator, AMPC works in conjunction with Academy/Foundation staff to solicit, evaluate, select, and schedule each year’s Annual Meeting education program and recommend changes as deemed necessary. Other duties include attending Board meetings and serving as board liaison to selected committees. If elected by the Foundation Board, the coordinator will serve a four-year term.

Term

If elected by the Board, the Coordinator for AMPC will serve a single four (4)-year term of office, from October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2028. The Coordinator for AMPC-Elect will shadow the incumbent Coordinator for AMPC from May 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024 (2023 Annual Meeting – Nashville, TN and 2023 Annual Meeting – Miami, FL). The Coordinator may be re-elected to a second term only after the passage of at least four years from the end of their term. Coordinators receive a stipend.

  6. In relation to developing Annual Meeting content, how do you view collaboration with the American Board of Otolaryngology and the specialty societies? If deemed important, how would you go about making it happen?
  7. How do you envision coordinating the Annual Meeting initiatives with those of other key stakeholders – journal, education, international, membership, etc.?
