Humanitarian Relief for Hurricane Dorian Victims
In the past few weeks, many have experienced catastrophe as a result of Hurricane Dorian. The choice to provide assistance in times of devasting events is very personal. Some may donate time, supplies, dollars, etc. Some may go through national or international organizations while others want to provide support more on the local level. Our otolaryngology community always comes together during these times to support not only our individual local communities but those of our friends and colleagues, here in the U.S. and around the globe.
The AAO-HNSF is in contact with the Caribbean Association of Otolaryngology and exploring ways that we might be able to assist in promoting relief and recovery efforts for our global sister organization. In the meantime, the AAO-HNSF Humanitarian Efforts Committee has identified several organizations that are already involved in disaster relief and donations operations for the Bahamas.
