There are 40+ education sessions included in this year’s International Symposium program. International symposium sessions are scheduled throughout the conference and showcase cutting-edge content presented by international physicians. Each session will provide a global perspective on popular topics in otolaryngology.

Education Sessions in Spanish

In cooperation with the Pan American Association of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, this year’s AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting program includes a full day of education sessions offered in Spanish on Saturday, September 28. Topics include:

These sessions will be recorded and distributed to the Latin American ENT community after the AAO-HNSF 2024 Annual Meeting & OTO EXPO. Hearing Aid Industry Leaders Panel: Maximizing Best Hearing Healthcare

This panel features representatives from the leading hearing aid manufacturers in the world. They will discuss how the OTC hearing aid availability has affected the overall hearing aid marketplace, how otolaryngology practices can maximize a hearing aid service for their patients, the advantages of the newest hearing instrument technology and how we can improve access to hearing healthcare for our population.

Humanitarian Efforts Forum

Listen, share, and discuss pressing issues affecting humanitarian action related to otolaryngology at the Humanitarian Issues Forum. Gain insight from physicians engaged in humanitarian outreach who will share their perspectives on the current global landscape and discuss opportunities and challenges for sustainable humanitarian action. Whether you are new to medical outreach, or you have spent years working in under-served areas and in countries with limited resources, you are invited to join the conversation.

Eugene N. Myers, MD International Lecture on Head and Neck Cancer

The Honorary Guest Lectureships are a time-honored tradition at the AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO EXPO^SM.  The Eugene N. Myers, MD International Lecture on Head and Neck Cancer award was endowed by Leslie Nicholas, MD, in honor of his nephew, Eugene N. Myers, MD, who is dedicated to the management of head/neck cancer and has interest in international medicine. This year’s recipient, Pankaj Chaturvedi, MD, MBBS, is the director of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer, at the Tata Memorial Centre in Mumbai, India. He is also a professor and surgeon in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Chaturvedi’s lecture, “My Journey in Oral Cancer Care and Control in India”, will be held Monday, September 30, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm (ET).

International Advisory Board (IAB) General Assembly

Learn how the global ENT community can reach across borders to face the common challenges shared by physicians in different countries during the International Advisory Board (IAB) General Assembly. Take part in the conversation and help recognize recipients of international awards. Delegates representing International Corresponding Societies (ICS), international attendees, and U.S. registrants interested in global health should attend the IAB General Assembly, which serves as the “voice” of the international OTO community.

International General Session – The Best of Global Grand Rounds

The AAO-HNSF’s popular webinar series, The Global Grand Rounds, will be offered in a live, in-person format during the International General Session. Hear from three expert panelists on timely topics within Rhinology, Otology, and Sleep Surgery. The audience will have the opportunity to participate in Q&A to be facilitated by international Otolaryngology thought leaders.

All International attendees are invited to discuss topics at the forefront of otolaryngology and share pertinent regional issues and opportunities. Attendees will receive a special AAO-HNS branded gift (while supplies last). The Roundtable will take place at the Global Connections Lounge.
