Throughout my medical career, I have sought to uplift my colleagues and celebrate scientific achievement. As a Member-at-Large of the SRF Governing Council, I hope to apply my skills in project management, research, and team work to coordinate scientific programming and plan the General Assembly meeting. My research experience in project design and presentation highlights my ability to evaluate scientific submissions, while my leadership experience in medical school and residency have prepared me to organize the scientific programming. To these responsibilities I will bring my collaborative style and thoughtful nature. Thank you for the opportunity to serve our scientific community as part of SRF.
Previous/Relevant Experience: I have had the opportunity to present research at AAO-HNS, including oral and poster presentations. I hope to become more involved in SRF to support our scientific community. Leadership: As vice president of my medical school Class Board, I represented the student body at administrative meetings to voice students’ feedback and concerns, specifically for student wellness and curricular changes. I also led class events, including academic review sessions, weekly e-newsletters, monthly social events, and quarterly interclass athletic events.
Research: Research opportunities from undergraduate, medical school, and residency have afforded me the opportunity to develop skills in lab work, project design, and education. Having completed numerous research works, I am able to critically evaluate research and design scientific programming.
Teamwork: My passion for working in effective and uplifting teams has been cultivated through athletic and artistic opportunities. As a leader on rowing teams and improv comedy clubs, I have learned how to foster an inclusive team environment and prepare younger team members to lead.
