I am a resident at WashU in my fifth year of training and am eager to contribute as a Member at Large on the SRF Governing Council. My participation in the last two annual meetings as well as monthly academic career development conferences at my home program have provided me with many helpful insights into developing scientific programs. Additionally, my role as a mentor and my substantial involvement in research projects has honed my ability to encourage collaboration and innovation among other trainees.
My goal as Member at Large is to ensure that the scientific program submissions are diverse and reach a high standard of academic quality. I will streamline the submission process to encourage broad participation and assist the Chair in planning a dynamic General Assembly. My experience as my program’s social chair for the last two years also equips me to handle the logistical and organizational aspects of this role, ensuring a well-coordinated meeting for all participants. I look forward to serving the SRF in this role.
Previous/Relevant Experience: Attended 2022 and 2023 AAO-HNSF Annual Meetings and SRF General Assemblies; Mentorship of medical students on clinical research projects and career development; Program social chair; Research collaboration across multiple institutions
